CIMA ExamReady™ is aligned to the Candidate Information Bulletins (CIBs) for the respective NIC and PSI exams – both in terms of topics and topic weight. Exam Prep is aligned to the chapters of the textbook, and each chapter is weighed equally. By being CIB-aligned, we’re ensuring that your students are spending the right amount of time practicing the exact topics that they’ll encounter on the exam.

Content is mapped directly to the following NIC and PSI written theory exams: Cosmetology, Esthetics, Barbering, and Nail Technology. This way, students focus on the material they’ll be tested on. Additional exam alignments may be added in the future.

From there, they use their Mastery Dashboard to identify topics they need to focus on, and select targeted practice quizzes to build mastery in those specific topics. Yes. CIMA ExamReady™ has time tracking functionality to ensure time spent in CIMA is counted towards total clock hours, if needed.

CIMA ExamReady™ is exclusive to the CIMA platform, but you don’t need to use CIMA for full curriculum delivery to benefit from it. You can choose to use CIMA solely for ExamReady™ if that’s what works best for you. CIMA enables a personalized experience that allows each of your students to prepare for their exam based on their individual strengths and areas for improvement.

CIMA ExamReady™ is ready to use right out the box. Since it’s already aligned to the Candidate Information Bulletins (CIBs) for NIC and PSI’s national theory exams, you can be confident that your students are spending their time practicing the right topics. And since questions for the practice quizzes and full-length mock exams are randomized, students can take them as many times as they want without requiring you to build more practice exams. Lastly, the full-length mock exams are already timed and reflect the same number of questions students will see on exam day, so they’ll get practice pacing themselves as well.
