A few weeks ago I posted a video on Facebook as part of a workshop I was attending. I was being the student. I posted that video because I think it is so important that no matter who you are, no matter your role in the school, no matter how many years you have been teaching, you must take the time to learn more. I’ve been doing this for more years than I’d like to admit and there are still new things for me to learn. We never stop learning.
As educators, it is so important that we find time to take off our educator hat and put on our student hat to learn something new. Most of us are happy to go to a hair show and improve our technical skills, but I’m talking about more than just technical skills. We can’t forget to take time to improve our teaching skills. Continuing education gives us that opportunity. We can learn a new teaching method or discover a new activity or game to bring into our classroom. Continuing education can be motivational and inspiring and simply an opportunity to refuel and recharge ourselves! We must find ways to re-energize!
It isn’t always that easy to find those opportunities though, is it? We may not be able to take time off work to attend a workshop. We may not have the funds to go. It may be too far away to travel.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was an opportunity to have access to training that we could work into our own schedule, that is affordable, and that we could even access in the convenience of our own homes? Well the good news is that, there is!
Milady has created online instructor training webinars. They are 1-hour webinars based on our in-person classes. We release 12 hours of webinar training per year, so you cannot only re-energize but you can also keep up with continuing education requirements. In addition, when you complete a series of 3 webinars, it will count toward your Master Educator Certification.
